Mercury Marine Assembler II- Electronic (SF Final)- 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Under moderate supervision, perform a variety of production assemblies that are highly repetitive, simple, and short-cycle mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly following a prescribed routine. They are assembled in a fast-paced environment using small hand tools, screws, torque guns, and other job-related assembly aids per/ Work Instructions. The job involves a testing and packing process after being completed.

Essential Functions

  • Mechanically inclined with basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills
  • Work in a team environment, follow directions, read work instructions, and prepare packing materials
  • Gather materials, select programs, change fixtures, and adjust the test machine to perform tasks
  • Perform difficult assembly tasks while standing for the shift duration
  • Run parts, inspect for defects, troubleshoot, and communicate issues as they arise, and make required adjustments
  • Employee may be required to train on other shifts

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have normal to high manual dexterity skills
  • Must be able to use hand tools, scales, and other process-related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses, and torque guns. Some hand tools require the operator to be ambidextrous
  • Moderate lifting up to 50lbs, lifting assistance is provided when necessary
  • Fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping small, medium, and large parts
  • Operator must have a full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck, and back to perform job duties
  • Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours
  • Computer literate
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication is required

Pay Range

The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
