Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop business relationships with clients
- Promote business for the Bank by providing exceptional quality customer service
- Achieve established Bank goals through active participation in sales management
- Provide leadership, training and support to less experienced bank personnel
- Serve as a subject matter expert in support of a full range of services offered to clients
- Establish and provide training and service programs to orient clients in the operation and maintenance of Merchant Service products
- Demonstrate services and products to prospects, when appropriate, through personal meetings or as part of a coordinated, multi-product sales presentation
- Serve as liaison between current and potential clients and the Bank to resolve questions regarding Merchant Service products and services
- Attend sales meetings and contribute as appropriate
- Maintain account records, prepare sales call reports and ensure the accuracy of agreements
- Initiate client relationships and also accompany relationship sales officer/manager on selling missions
- Secure and renew orders, arrange delivery dates and coordinate order fulfillment of other Merchant Service products
- Maintain contact with and service key accounts
- Promote satisfactory client relations via follow-up and check-in calls
- Work closely with bank personnel to ensure prompt service to clients
- Provide field technical services to clients in compliance with service contract requirements
- Promote banking solutions to clients by cross-selling appropriate products
- Aid in preparation of proposals for new and existing contracts
- Be familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field
- Three (3) years customer service experience required
- Three (3) years Banking or credit card experience required
- Comprehensive knowledge of merchant services products and services with the ability to cross sell applicable products
- Basic knowledge of related federal and state banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies
- Knowledge of basic accounting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze and interpret various financial data
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (grammar, positive tone, etiquette, confidence and listening skills)
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, as demonstrated in previous position meeting multiple objectives and deadlines
- Attention to detail, as demonstrated in previous experience preparing data and checking for accuracy prior to submission
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with officers and employees on all levels
Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions
- Sustained standing and sitting
- Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor
- Occasional presentations requiring public speaking to small groups
- Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs
- Travel in and out of state approximately 20% of the time
- Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise
