Responsibilities

  • Run reports and analysis as needed for the Buying team in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with the team to suggest newness and freshness for the assortment.
  • Manage purchase orders, including tracking on-order status and revisions.
  • Ensure successful preparation for style outs and walkthroughs.
  • Own sample management and all aspects of item setup, including data entry, merchandise operations communication, customs/trade, and vendor follow-up.
  • Ensure all final samples are available for ads, floor sets, and style outs.
  • Aid in the development and assortment of specific classes and product lines to deliver trend-right merchandise.
  • Review packaging and verify testing with compliance; follow through on samples to ensure quality matches orders.
  • Execute Comp Shop recaps and analysis as needed.
  • Manage the PO revision process, including reviewing revisions with buyers, logging changes, and communicating with PO analysts.
  • Handle order request data entry and ensure accuracy before POs are requested.
  • Manage item change requests for the buying team and follow up to the PO stage.
  • Follow up with cross-functional teams (supply chain, merchandise ops, planning) to ensure timely approval of items and POs.
  • Run and update ladder plans to provide business insights.
  • Track shipments and communicate issues between the merchandise team, DC team, and vendors.
  • Facilitate processes for MOS, markdowns, RTVs, attribute creation, deal pricing, marketing project requests, and chargebacks.
  • Develop relationships with cross-functional teams such as finance, merchandise ops, allocation, planning, marketing, customer service, and supply chain.
  • Resolve and communicate issues at the DC, including overages, shortages, UPC discrepancies, and import order delays.
  • Maintain open communication with the vendor community on a daily or weekly basis.
