About the role

The Merchandising Swing Representative is responsible for the timely stocking and product handling of all GLWAS merchandise shipped to an assigned retail account in and around Clinton Township. This role services multiple accounts within our Retail Chain Sales Division.

Responsibilities

  • Pack out all orders, price individual bottles, build displays, reset shelf schematics, and reset cold box schematics.
  • Implement correct shelf and display signage, ensure product rotation, fronting, dusting, and adherence to all shelf and housekeeping standards.
  • Generate positive business-building relationships with management, buyers, owners, or decision-makers at assigned accounts.
  • Maintain good product knowledge on all GLWAS brands and improve overall wine/beverage/category knowledge.
  • Execute shelf, display, and cold box standards set by GLWAS, its suppliers, and the account, including stocking/"pack out" policies.
  • Ensure all shelf price tags are correct and in place at the beginning of every month.
  • Ensure all display prices are correct and placed with current pricing.
  • Maintain and place all current point-of-sale (POS) materials for all products.
  • Utilize reports, forms, and pre-plans to organize work.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Operates in the field with daily travel, driving in all weather conditions.
  • Frequently stands, walks, bends, kneels, crouches, stoops, and climbs throughout the day.
  • Lifts, stacks, moves, and rotates items weighing up to 50 pounds without handles.
  • Pushes and pulls carts with up to 100 pounds of force; may operate warehouse equipment.

Pay

  • $37,500.00 starting base salary
  • $300 monthly car allowance

Schedule

Full-time position with daytime hours varying Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekend hours may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Basic competency with iOS devices
  • 2 years of sales experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

Additional Requirements

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable contracts or agreements.
  • Cooperate with all management and staff of GLWAS.
  • Follow all Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) rules and regulations.
  • Use alcohol responsibly when related to business activities.
