Merchandising Specialist (Lansing)

About the role

The Merchandising Specialist is responsible for timely stocking and product handling of all GLWAS merchandise shipped to assigned retail accounts. This position works with store-level personnel to ensure effective placement of shelf products and in-store displays while assessing the effectiveness of different product displays and display locations. The Merchandiser must demonstrate a professional demeanor by dressing and grooming appropriately and keeping their vehicle clean, organized, and stocked with adequate P.O.S. and other sales materials.

Responsibilities

• Build displays
• Manage GLWAS product conditions within the store
• Work with GLWAS District Managers and Area Managers to address product out-of-stocks
• Territory management, including correctly running the workday according to plan
• Maintain and use reports, forms, and pre-plans
• Communicate on a daily basis with Manager

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED (bachelor's degree preferred)
• Basic competency with iOS devices
• 2 years of sales experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and applicable contracts
• Cooperate with all management and staff of GLWAS
• Follow all MLCC rules and regulations as they apply to the position
• Use alcohol responsibly when related to business activities

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position operates in the field with daily travel, driving in all weather conditions. Physical demands include frequently standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and climbing throughout the day while lifting, stacking, moving, and rotating items without handles that weigh up to 50 pounds. Pushing and pulling carts with up to 100 pounds of force and operating warehouse equipment may be needed.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with daytime hours varying Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend hours may be required as schedule demands.

Pay

$18.00 per hour with a $300 monthly non-taxed car allowance.
