Merchandising Specialist

About the Role

The Merchandising Specialist keeps the front sales floor and showroom stocked, fronted, and clean. They complete sales preparations, greet customers, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Maintain fronted and fully stocked merchandise displays; assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities daily.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, and ensure “sale” signs are in place.
• Remove all sale materials when a sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete weekly store inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (driving record must meet company-mandated eligibility requirements).
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous stocking experience (desired).
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
