Merchandising Specialist

About the role

The Merchandising Specialist will keep the front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on the sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance. Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and put up stock; keep merchandise on the display floor fronted and full.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, and ensure “sale” signs are in place.
• Remove all sale material when a sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate (driving record must meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements).
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Must meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements if driving is required.

Qualifications

• Desired: Previous stocking experience.
• Desired: Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Pay

Compensation Pay Range: $17.13 – $23.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
