Merchandising / Procurement Intern

About the role

Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Strategic Procurement team serving customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada.
• Collaborate with other interns and employees in areas such as Communications, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Marketing & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Sales.
• Engage with the supplier community to build strong relationships, gather feedback, and improve partnerships.
• Participate in optimizing operations through innovation (e.g., automating the truck optimization process).
• Participate in key procurement functions: strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and indirect spend management.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by evaluating processes and seeking new improvements.
• Attend unique networking opportunities inside and outside the office.
• Engage in the mentorship program.
• Shadow jobs across the organization to explore career path potential.
• Participate in community and stewardship efforts.
• Develop personal and professional skills through workshops on communication, LinkedIn, presenting, and more.
• Embed with a team that treats AI as a core collaborator, gaining hands‑on experience using and developing intelligent systems to deliver real‑world business impact.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Food Industry Management.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
