MERCHANDISING INTERN

About the role

GATE Petroleum is seeking a highly motivated Merchandising Intern to join our team and assist with space allocation management using JDA Space Planning as a tool. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Merchandising and Category Management team to optimize product placement and presentation across our stores.

Responsibilities

• Assist with space allocation management across GATE Petroleum stores using JDA Space Planning to optimize product placement and presentation
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop strategies to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute merchandising plans and initiatives
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Merchandising as needed

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Passion for retail and merchandising
