Merchandiser- Part Time/Seasonal

About the role

The Merchandiser position is responsible for effectively managing an established sales territory, encompassing selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and accounts receivable tasks. This is a seasonal, part‑time role requiring work in the Bismarck area.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales objectives through effective territory management
• Promote current and new products
• Execute promotions and conduct in‑store tastings
• Service accounts
• Perform merchandising activities: shelf placement, maintaining cold boxes, building displays, stocking inventories
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
• Travel within assigned territory to service accounts
• Develop and nurture customer relationships to drive sales growth
• Uphold Johnson Brothers corporate values and provide excellent customer service
• Approach tasks with a proactive “can‑do” attitude
• Complete other work‑related tasks and special projects as assigned
• Manage the territory including selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and accounts receivable

Requirements

• Work experience in the liquor industry (e.g., bartender, wait staff, liquor store) is a plus
• Goal‑oriented with a track record of achieving results
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
• Competitive, self‑motivated, and dedicated to exceptional customer service
• Strong written and oral communication skills in a professional manner
• Capable of lifting up to 50‑pound cases, sometimes repeatedly
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on communication and problem resolution
• Proven ability to multitask efficiently within given time parameters
• Excellent planning and organizational skills to achieve business goals
• Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Power BI; familiarity with Workday is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check
• Reliable transportation with valid insurance
• Local candidates preferred; no relocation package provided

Pay

$21.00 per hour

Schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings (estimated 20‑24 hours per week)
