Merchandiser (Part-Time)
About the role
The Merchandiser Associate at SCHEELS is responsible for creating a professional, team-oriented environment, assisting colleagues and customers, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Unload product from freight.
- Tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise to be placed on the sales floor or stored back.
- Restock merchandise on the sales floor and bring products to the floor for display.
- Aid customers and salespeople in retrieving and loading purchased products.
- Maintain an orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas.
- Perform general cleaning and organization around the store and back stock areas.
- Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence, present information in one-on-one and small group situations, organize tasks, multi-task, and manage a merchandiser role.
- Exercise judgment and tact, work independently and with the team, and communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
- Apply basic understanding to carry out instructions, demonstrate attention to detail, and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser.
- Lead work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
