Merchandiser Mandate Retail Service Lead

About the Role

The Merchandiser Mandate Retail Service Lead represents Acosta, clients, and customers by leading and performing reset and remodel work. This includes plan-o-gram implementation, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activities. The role requires a self-starter with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work well in both team and independent situations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team lead in the organization and execution of resets.
• Partner with store personnel for scheduling and communication of reset activities.
• Read and follow plan-o-grams to complete resets accurately.
• Apply knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology.
• Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, displaying merchandise, placing shelf strips and tags, checking date codes, and ensuring plan-o-gram integrity.
• Process packouts, restocks, and reorders as necessary.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with store personnel and co-workers.
• Report observations and issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Use web-based applications to manage work availability, assignments, documentation, time tracking, expenses, and training.
• Prepare, process, and manage documentation related to assigned resets.
• Demonstrate awareness of surroundings and utilize proper safety techniques to prevent injuries.
• Follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a sales agent, in retail, or with reset responsibilities preferred.
• Strong demonstration of core competencies: quality commitment, attention to detail, customer service, and effective communication.
• Comfortable using technology, including smartphones and handheld devices.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Willingness to work in cold environmental conditions (e.g., refrigerated and freezer sections) for limited periods.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, and copier.
• Ability to stand on a step stool.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively with others.
• Daily access to the internet.
• Proficiency in web-based applications, email, and basic computer applications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a car.

Pay

$16.00 per hour.
