About the Role

The Merchandiser supports the Store Leader by executing the merchandising and seasonal décor to create a beautiful environment for our guests to achieve all store goals. You will provide exceptional service through relationship building and an inspirationally, well-maintained environment. Merchandisers drive excellence and provide leadership in all visual aspects of the store, including elevated product merchandising, well-crafted window designs, and a focus on results through store presentation.

• Foster a guest-focused team environment by driving volume and anticipating guest needs.
• Achieve excellent guest service by role-modeling company service standards.
• Provide timely feedback to associates, reward and recognize performance to drive retention.
• Hold self and associates accountable for financial results and performance standards.
• Manage conflict and coach associates using company-recommended processes and guidelines.
• Empower and involve associates in decision-making processes.
• Receive feedback and foster dialog around solutions.
• Develop associates through an individualized approach by matching talent with tasks and delegating.
• Foster team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognizing contributions.
• Lead by managing through change and adversity.
• Make recommendations on hiring, promotions, and terminations based on performance.
• React to product and presentation needs based on business requirements.
• Maintain seasonal window décor weekly.
• Control workflow through successful planning and delegation.
• Assess store business using company reporting tools to identify opportunities in product placement, outfitting, and stock levels.
• Execute task directives within designated time frames.
• Conduct weekly window mannequin updates.
• Teach standards of product flow, merchandising, and product knowledge to the team.
• Adhere to loss prevention practices and report potential incidents to protect company assets.
• Communicate effectively with the executive team.
• Coach the team on business-related visual presentation to achieve department sales goals.
• Lead a forward-thinking approach to the guest experience through merchandising, seasonal décor, and in-store marketing.
• Utilize and manage weekly reporting to track, analyze, and communicate business results.
• Interpret Home Office visual communication through partnership with the Store Leader/District Leader.
• Oversee and manage the roll-out of floor sets, window sets, fixture placement, and overall visual environment.
• Maintain awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment.
• Manage placement of new product and communicate product performance observations.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 30 lbs).

Requirements

• 1 year of merchandising experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, and/or squatting.
• May be required to occasionally climb ladders and descend stairs frequently, depending on location.
• Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance.
