About the Role

The Merchandiser will handle merchandise in customer stores, primarily in the Columbus, OH area. Travel between locations is required, and occasional overnights may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain set-up, plan-o-gram execution, stocking, fronting, facing, and rotating of products.
• Cover Sales Reps' vacations: write store orders, credit damages, and address other issues.
• Provide merchandise service to retailers and assist sales representatives in maintaining good working relationships with retailers.
• Assist in maintaining good working relationships with the internal sales department to ensure strong communication between sales and retailers.
• Display merchandise appropriately with proper signage and favorable shelf placement.
• Arrive at work locations safely, on time, and with all necessary requirements.
• Ensure proper stock levels at all times in retailer stores.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Minimum of 3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Excellent reasoning ability to apply common sense in carrying out instructions.

Skills

• Able to operate a computer tablet and utilize computer systems for emails, faxes, scanners, and phones.
• Able to drive an automobile safely (proven safety record required).
• Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterity.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Good hand dexterity with both hands.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods, bend, stoop, and reach above head easily.
• Excellent eyesight with good peripheral vision.
• Able to work long hours and overtime when necessary.
