Schedule
Monday - Friday starting at 7am
Phone & car allowance plus mileage reimbursement available.
About the role
The Merchandiser is responsible for pricing and setting customer’s stores. The Merchandiser reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the geographical area they service. A Merchandiser may be either permanent in the position or a temporary Sales Trainee assigned to the department as part of an ongoing sales training program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the training of new fellow merchandisers on how to properly price and set customer shelving.
- Assist in creating customer store layouts upon request, placing the order via a telxon unit, arranging delivery to the store, and physically pricing and merchandising the product at the customer’s store.
- Submit proper forms for employee reimbursement, such as travel, auto, gas, per diem, and hotel.
- Participate in company annual shows by setting up and tearing down the convenience store display.
- Record unsalable merchandise when resetting customer stores for customer credit.
- Assist, when necessary, in delivering and unloading orders and returns.
- Assist the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of all merchandising supplies, such as mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, and labels.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 6+ months merchandising experience.
- Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance and ability to travel to customer locations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
- Frequent lifting of products weighing 5–25 lbs throughout the day; may also lift cases or totes up to 70 lbs.
