We are seeking a talented individual to join a high-visibility retail planning team. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in managing product performance, optimizing inventory strategies, and driving seasonal business decisions. You'll collaborate closely with merchandising, business teams, and cross-functional partners, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that directly influence business outcomes and product success. Responsibilities
- Manage planning activities across seasonal product categories, ensuring optimal performance and strategic alignment.
- Analyze critical sales, inventory, and product performance data to proactively identify opportunities for growth and potential risks.
- Support in-season business management, including inventory actions, seamless product transitions, and informed pricing decisions.
- Develop comprehensive reporting and insightful analysis to effectively communicate business insights and strategic recommendations.
- Leverage the power of data storytelling to influence cross-functional partners and champion strategic decisions.
- Collaborate extensively with merchandising, ecommerce, inventory, and various business teams to maximize product performance.
- Continuously monitor market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and recommend proactive actions to enhance business outcomes.
- Masterfully manage multiple projects and priorities, consistently maintaining exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, retail planning, inventory planning, or a closely related field.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis techniques.
- Proven experience in using data to formulate compelling business recommendations and craft clear, impactful narratives.
- Demonstrated experience managing retail products throughout seasonal planning cycles.
- Exceptional analytical skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail and unwavering accuracy.
- The ability to prioritize effectively and thrive independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective partnership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting brick-and-mortar retail environments.
- A background in footwear, apparel, fashion, sporting goods, or consumer products.
- Experience working with large data sets or advanced analytics tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools or automation to enhance data analysis and planning processes.
- Experience with retail planning, forecasting, or inventory management systems.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
