Merchandise Coordinator

About the role

You’ll be part of a vibrant team that executes receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process efficiently and effectively. This role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience, maintaining a clean and organized store, and fostering teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Role model exceptional customer service and create positive internal and external customer experiences
• Promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality
• Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor
• Ensure Associates complete tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed
• Monitor team productivity and provide coaching
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
• Maintain merchandising philosophy, signage, and recovery standards
• Uphold organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area
• Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
• Communicate priorities and progress updates accurately with management and Associates
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multitasking and responding to unexpected changes
• Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to train others
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $16.92 to $17.42 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
