MEP Superintendent I
Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, analyze, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project team members. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
- Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
- Plan and implement strategies to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
- Review and understand contract documents
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
- Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three- and six-week look-ahead schedules
- Develop a site logistics plan
- Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
- Collaborate with project partner superintendents
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years of trade experience
- Minimum 8 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
- Ability to manage multiple, complex data center projects
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback
- Current driver’s license

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $111,400 – $167,100. Actual range is higher for the following locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL (+5%), Seattle, WA and Portland, OR (+10%), Washington, D.C. (+12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
