MEP Superintendent I
Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain flexible, inventive, and efficient in a dynamic environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
- Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
- Plan and implement strategies to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
- Review and understand contract documents
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
- Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three- and six-week look-ahead schedules
- Develop a site logistics plan
- Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
- Collaborate with project partner superintendents
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years of trade experience
- Minimum 8 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
- Ability to manage multiple, complex data center projects
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback

- Current driver’s license
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $111,400 – $167,100. Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO, and Chicago, IL (+5%); Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR (+10%); Washington, D.C. (+12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
