MEP Superintendent

About the role

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is hiring an experienced MEP Superintendent to support projects in the New Jersey region. The Superintendent is responsible for timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate project schedules and status reports
• Conduct regular reviews of status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives
• Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others operating tools and equipment
• Direct subcontractor activities within ground-up construction projects
• Analyze manpower, material, and equipment requirements and interface with others as designated by supervising superintendent
• Implement and enforce field construction management policies, procedures, and work rules
• Prepare required reports and forecasts and keep supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Maintain safe tools and equipment and ensure safe operation
• Coordinate lock-out tag-out with responsible subcontractors for utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam
• Manage QA/QC and understand client engineering specifications or requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience
• Supervisory experience as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills

Pay

$165,000 – $205,000
