Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes for large-scale data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover
- Coordinate design development, constructability reviews, and clash detection with design teams, consultants, and trade partners
- Oversee installation of critical systems including power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, chilled water, CRAHs/CRACs, fire protection, and BMS/EPMS
- Manage MEP schedules, phasing plans, and work sequencing to align with overall project milestones and commissioning requirements
- Lead subcontractor procurement, scope leveling, contract administration, and performance management
- Drive quality control, QA/QC processes, and compliance with mission-critical standards and specifications
- Monitor budgets, cost forecasting, change management, and value engineering for MEP scopes
- Lead commissioning planning, functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and turnover documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, site logistics constraints, and operational continuity requirements
- Coordinate owner training, O&M manuals, as-builts, attic stock, and closeout documentation
- Interface directly with owners, operators, AHJs, and commissioning agents
- Identify and mitigate technical risks related to redundancy, resiliency, and system reliability
- Support preconstruction activities including budgeting, constructability input, and trade engagement
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience managing MEP scopes on complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects (data centers strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, mechanical cooling infrastructure, and mission-critical redundancy architectures
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-reliability environments
