Responsibilities
- Develop detailed HVAC schematics, piping layouts, and ductwork designs using CAD software.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations (e.g., HVAC loads, energy modeling) to select appropriate equipment.
- Ensure all designs meet local building codes, energy standards (e.g., ASHRAE), and safety regulations.
- Work with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate systems seamlessly into building structures.
- Conduct site visits, inspect installations, and perform system testing/commissioning to ensure performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for signing off on plans or active Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit (BIM).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Pay
$80,000 – $160,000 per year
