Responsibilities
- Inpatient: Under the direction and supervision of the RN, LVN, or Charge RN, assist the licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living. Support unit functions and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers. Function as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team and communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN. Perform clerical duties as assigned and provide basic nursing care for adult and geriatric patients. Perform responsibilities within the guidelines of the Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy, and state regulatory and accrediting requirements.
- Outpatient: Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, RN, and the Program Director, carry out activities of daily living programs and individual treatment plans for psychiatric patients.
Requirements
- Must have a current and valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) issued by the State, or a minimum of one year of experience working as a Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting (preferred).
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- One (1) year of prior mental health experience preferred.
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.12 to $26.36 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
