Mental Health Worker - Geropsychiatric Unit (Nights)

About the role

The Geropsychiatric Unit is a 12-bed unit designed for short-term evaluation and treatment of severe clinical depression, psychiatric complications of dementing illness, and other problems requiring 24-hour hospital care. Located in Towson, MD, this is an in‑person position.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
• Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
• Provide ADL assistance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Human Services related degree or prior direct care/related experience strongly preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
• All new clinical staff will begin an extended clinical orientation/training immediately following the first day of employment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.06 minimum to $22.95 maximum, with actual pay determined by factors such as years and level of related experience.

Schedule

Shift: 7 pm – 7 am, with alternating weekends.
