East Liverpool City Hospital, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an award-winning community hospital proudly serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and over 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. The medical staff includes more than 160 physicians and 21 resident physicians completing training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. Services include 24/7 emergency care, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over 55, and the only cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County.

Responsibilities

• Mental Health Worker - Inpatient: Under the direction and supervision of the RN, LVN, or Charge RN, assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living. Support unit functions, maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers, and function as part of the interdisciplinary care team. Communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN. Perform clerical duties as assigned and provide basic nursing care for adult and geriatric patients. Operate within Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy, and state regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Mental Health Worker - Outpatient: Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, RN, and Program Director, carry out activities of daily living programs and individual treatment plans for psychiatric patients.

Requirements

• Must have a current and valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) issued by the State or a minimum of one year of experience working as a Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
• One year of prior mental health experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.

Schedule

Part-time, less than 60 hours per pay period. 12-hour day shifts.
