About the role
The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) provides outpatient mental health and/or substance use treatment services for children, adolescents, and their families, in a clinic setting. The responsibilities of the MHT include assessments, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy. Therapists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and represent the organization and its values.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual, group, and family therapy services.
- Completes all clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal and organizational requirements, with an emphasis on collaborative documentation.
- Provides case management and coordinates referrals to community resources.
- Aids clients with necessary paperwork to facilitate access to services and funding sources essential to completion of the established plan of care.
- Recognizes personal strengths and limitations, feelings and needs.
- Verbally and non-verbally de-escalates crisis situations in a manner that protects dignity and integrity.
- Uses scheduled supervision constructively, seeks feedback to improve performance, and accepts and utilizes feedback to improve outcomes.
- Models safe language and demonstrates appropriate boundaries with peers, clients, and families.
- Intervenes and provides support when staff, clients or families are unsafe with language or behaviors.
- Is present and punctual for work and/or meetings.
- Works well within a team environment, sharing workload, credit, and opportunities.
- Is aware of Morrison Compliance Program including Compliance Officer, Compliance Standards of Conduct, and Employee Compliance Hotline.
- Understands Compliance Standards of Conduct and signs attestation document.
- Completes all assigned compliance, HIPAA, client privacy, and fraud, waste, and abuse training.
- Demonstrates a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
- Participates in staff development, in-services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; models professional behaviors and implements improvements to business practices with awareness of their impact in a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare organization.
- Completes other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health, social services, educational, or other related setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish, both written and spoken. Must clear a language proficiency test in Spanish.
- Current Oregon or other state Licensed Mental Health Professional.
- Two years direct treatment experience with children and/or adolescents in a mental health setting.

Benefits
- Mental Health Therapist, Bilingual Spanish: $34.59/hr. - $38.07/hr. (71,900/yr. - 79,100/yr.)
- Licensed Mental Health Therapist, Bilingual Spanish: $36.67/hr. - $40.36/hr. ($76,200/yr. - $83,900/yr.)
Pay
$71,900.00 - $83,900.00 Annual
