About the role

The Adult Mental Health Therapist: Assessment & Group Specialist will provide intake and assessment services for new clients seeking mental health services. Hours of work are flexible to meet program needs. This position will provide both in-person and telehealth services depending on clinical and program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health assessments for individuals entering services at various NARA NW sites, depending on the clinical need, primarily at our Clinic Sites (Wellness Center and Indian Health Clinic), as well as at our Addictions Sites (Adult Residential and Outpatient Treatment Centers).
  • In some instances, may provide very short-term, interim MH services for some clients until they are connected with a Mental Health Therapist.
  • Run mental health groups for Adults across various NARA NW sites on a weekly basis.
  • Refer clients for the appropriate level of care at one of our sites.
  • Complete suicide risk assessment for all clients entering services.
  • Complete written diagnostic assessments and impressions, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other documentation in required timeframes.
  • Create realistic, measurable treatment plans.
  • Complete treatment plans including developing measurable outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed including referral and follow-up.
  • Participate in community mental health awareness and community outreach programs of NARA NW.
  • Provide referral, follow-up, and outreach services as-needed.
  • Refer to internal and external resources as clinically indicated.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred.
  • Experience working with adults in a mental health setting.
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment tools and techniques.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of mental health disorders.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay

  • Unlicensed (QMHP): $33.60 – $39.90 hourly, Non-Exempt
  • Licensed: $75,600.00 - $87,150.00 annual salary, Exempt

Schedule

This is an in-person position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility to meet program needs, including evenings and weekends as needed.
