Mental Health Technician
Job Location: UH Lakewood Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri
Responsibilities
- Helping patients with daily activities and providing direct care under the supervision of our nursing team
- Keeping the environment supportive, safe, and positive for everyone
- Taking on a variety of duties (from clerical tasks to helping in a clinical setting)
- Using your skills and compassion to help patients feel at ease and supported
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire (and keep it current for continued employment)
- Clearance through the Family Care Registry
- Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timeline
- Department Orientation With Classroom And Clinical Training Equivalent To Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Regulations—or Meet Specific Background Criteria As Listed Below
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.)
- Previous mental health experience
- BCLS certification

Hours Per Week: 36
Work Schedule: 6:45AM - 7:15PM (3 nights per week)
