About the role
The Mental Health Tech I provides direct patient care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse by performing patient care services, crisis intervention, therapeutic interactions and milieu management. The Mental Health Tech I utilizes non-violent verbal and physical techniques to de-escalate patients and ensure safety.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues
- Perform patient care services, crisis intervention, therapeutic interactions, and milieu management under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse
- Utilize non-violent verbal and physical techniques to de-escalate patients and ensure safety
Requirements
- Nurse Aide I licensure (required)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Aide (required)
- 1 year of clinical experience in mental health (preferred)
