Mental Health Technician - Haven In Conway

About the role

Mental Health Technicians provide direct care, supervision, and therapeutic support to adolescent girls ages 12-18 residing in a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP).

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-7 supervision
• Assist with daily living skills, routines, cooking, and personal hygiene
• Support implementation of individualized treatment plans
• Absorb crisis situations using trauma-informed responses
• Transport clients to appointments, school, activities, etc.
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Prepare daily/nightly shift reports

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Good computer skills
• The ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and climbing stairs
• Ability to sit at a desk and type frequently
• Team player and independent worker

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position
• Work hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Wednesday - Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
• Eligible for shift differential

Skills

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
