About the role
Mental Health Technicians provide direct care, supervision, and therapeutic support to adolescent girls ages 12-18 residing in a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP).
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-7 supervision
- Assist with daily living skills, routines, cooking, and personal hygiene
- Support implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Absorb crisis situations using trauma-informed responses
- Transport clients to appointments, school, activities, etc.
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Prepare daily/nightly shift reports
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Good computer skills
- The ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and climbing stairs
- Ability to sit at a desk and type frequently
- Team player and independent worker
Qualifications
- At least 21 years old
- Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position
- Work hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Wednesday - Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
- Eligible for shift differential
Skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
