Mental Health Technician: Full-Time 3pm-11:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am
About the role
The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania, providing comprehensive services since 1989. Located near State College, PA, it operates a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital.
Responsibilities
- Responds to patient crisis events accordingly using de-escalation techniques.
- Leads activity groups for patients according to the program schedule.
- Conducts patient observation rounds throughout the shift to ensure safety.
- Supervise patients in daily activities and assist treatment team with patients to provide therapeutic activities.
- Document patient behaviors, condition, & progress.
- Maintain patient safety during visitations.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Post-secondary training or education in related field with experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in dynamic environments.
- Commitment to providing a high level of care to patients of all ages.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A reliable & dependable attendance to work profile.

Schedule
Full-time 8-hour or 12-hour shift options: 3pm-11:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am with rotating every other weekend to work.
