About the role
The Mental Health Technician position at Research Psychiatric Center is an entry-level role designed for those passionate about the mental health profession. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to and close supervision of psychiatric patients
- Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient vital signs throughout the cycle of care
- Document and report any physical or behavioral changes at time of occurrence
- Actively participate as part of the treatment team, following facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- A High School Graduate or GED
- Demonstrated competency in BLS upon hire and maintained
- C.N.A preferred
- One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
- Preferable Medical Terminology and clerical background
