Job Summary And Responsibilities As our Mental Health Tech, you will be vital support for Behavioral Health's front and back office functions, assisting psychiatrists, patients, and the care management team. You'll ensure smooth operations, quality medication management, and clinical problem-solving. Every day you will provide basic medication triage, support services, and take vital signs for behavioral health patients. You'll manage front office reception, patient registration, insurance/copay processing, and telephones, while also handling back office tasks like refill requests, injections, and accurate EHR documentation. To be successful, you need strong multitasking, meticulous attention to detail, and a rapid ability to learn complex information accurately. Exceptional customer service, calm under pressure, EHR proficiency, and strict confidentiality are essential, along with flexibility to float. CommunicationUtilizes effective, healthy verbal and non-verbal communicationIdentifies self and role to others in a professional manner.Ensures that communication in the presence of the patient is patient-relatedNotifies the RN of abnormal vital signs, I & Os, or changes in the patient condition.Utilizes communication techniques learned in CPI to de-escalate situations Job Requirements Required High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire orHigh School GED General Studies, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days Preferred Previous experience in direct patient care Where You'll Work CHI St. Vincent, a regional health network serving Arkansas, is part of CommonSpirit Health.
