Mental Health Technician (7pm-7am) - Central State Hospital

About the role

Mental Health Technician positions are available for the 7p-7a shift at Job Description Central State Hospital. Positions offer three 12-hour shifts per week, with additional $1 on weekends and a 10%-12% shift differential. On-the-job training is provided, and experience is preferred but not required. Base pay starts at $15.90.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic ADL care and safety monitoring according to plan for individual age, gender, and cultural specific needs.
• Makes measurements of vital signs, height, weight, intake and output.
• Accurately uses medical equipment.
• Escorts and transports patients.
• Carries out treatment plans for patients.
• Utilizes therapeutic communication.
• Works within hospital and departmental standards of practice and care.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalency. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

Experience is a plus, but not required.
