Mental Health Tech - Jonesboro IDD Facility- 2nd Shift

About the role

Arisa Health is seeking Mental Health Technicians to support our Adult IDD TC Program in Jonesboro, serving individuals with mental health needs, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Responsibilities

• Provide services to clients under the general supervision of registered nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, or other qualified personnel.
• Perform tasks within the scope of your educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by policies and procedures of local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as facility policies.
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and assist with the coordination of services, including planning, monitoring, documenting, and conducting evaluations of services to clients.
• Make observations regarding clients’ physical conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatment, and report any significant changes to the appropriate supervisor and staff members.
• Maintain appropriate documentation.
• Utilize behavioral techniques to prevent injury to patients and others, ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients, and respond appropriately in crisis situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare Workers.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize.
• Patient, consistent, and flexible.
• Ability to work in a team setting and independently.

Previous experience in a residential setting or working in the mental health field is preferred.
