Mental Health Tech, Days

Piedmont Eastside in Snellville, GA is seeking compassionate mental health clinicians to join our 62-bed Behavioral Health Unit. Inpatient Behavioral Health experience is highly preferred.

Our recovery-oriented program provides opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative care environment. The unit includes:

• Adult Psych Unit (ages 18-64)
• Geriatric Psych Unit (ages 65 and older; patients require total care assistance with daily living)
• Intensive Outpatient Program
• ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy)
• New Graduate Program for RNs passionate about Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission of the organization as a member of the multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality, individualized, patient- and family-centered, holistic, and supportive care in a safe environment.
• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse for a designated time frame.
• Engages with patients through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment, with assistance from other healthcare team members.
• Functions as a member of the therapeutic team as outlined by Piedmont Behavioral Health policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health sciences preferred.
• No prior work experience required; experience in behavioral health and/or addictive disease preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
• Crisis Prevention certification required within 60 days of hire.
