Behavior Technician
About the role
We’re looking for a certain kind of person to work as a Behavior Technician. They kneel down to a child's eye level, patiently bring positivity to every interaction, and celebrate small wins. Clinical leadership is always available, and you’ll receive strong clinical mentorship, real career pathways into leadership, and colleagues who value your expertise. You’ll also receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), with guidance and support from mentors and peers.
Responsibilities
You'll work 1:1 with children ages 18 months to 6 years who have a diagnosis of autism, in a center-based environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans
- Building skills through play, connection, and presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try
- Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology
- Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with
- Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days
Requirements
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Available to work full-time, Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable, resilient, and compassionate, with an interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services
- Able to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment
- Physically ready for the role, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds, sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids
