Mental Health Tech - Behavioral Health PRN
Responsibilities
- Provide care and close supervision of facility patients, documenting behavior, and developing positive relationships with patients.
- Implement treatment plans and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
- Maintain a therapeutic milieu while providing for the direct care, welfare, safety, and security of patients.
- Escort patients to work, mealtime, outdoor/indoor recreation, smoke breaks (if applicable), and education activities and participate in their supervision and instruction as needed.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments or other activities as directed.
- Maintain safety and security of the facility through close observation and monitoring of the patients, maintaining optimal physical proximity, remaining alert at all times, and using analytical forethought to anticipate potentially volatile or unsafe situations and proactively intervene.
- Absorb and ensure the needs of the patients are being met in relation to clothing, linens, and personal hygiene supplies; supervise personal hygiene tasks.
Requirements
- 7am-7pm shift or 7pm-7am shift
- 12 Hour Shifts
- Minimum (5) shifts per month
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Minimum of 1 year(s) related experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPI Certified
- Must be able to complete (5) day Hospital Orientation
