About the role
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Mental Health Specialist V to join a team dedicated to providing specialized care and fostering recovery for Texans in need. Responsibilities
- Attends work on a regular basis and may work specific shifts as required.
- Provides psychological/therapeutic work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, including individual, group, and family therapy.
- Develops and implements individualized Person-Centered Recovery Plans and behavior plans.
- Conducts psychological assessments and interprets results under supervision.
- Participates in quality assurance activities and supports disaster response and COOP activation.
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in psychological/therapeutic work.
- Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical or Master Social Worker (LCSW or LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university, with a master's or doctorate degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field. Must have one of the specified licenses/certifications.

$6,149.00 - $7,253.83 per month
