About the role

The Behavioral Health Division of Contra Costa Health Services seeks to fill 3 Mental Health Program Manager positions. These roles are part of a welcoming and integrated service network aimed at promoting wellness, recovery, and resiliency among individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative operations for the Housing Support Services team and develop and maintain new and existing behavioral health capital resources.

  • Oversee contract management for housing resources, including locked, unlocked, and supportive housing, and manage state and federal infrastructure grants.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop new housing and facility resources, and lead grant writing and management activities.

  • Support the Adult System of Care by managing and supporting program planning, development, implementation, and oversight.

  • Lead the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Program Manager role, overseeing the annual BHSA Community Program Planning Process, data analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

Qualified candidates should handle stress well, be a team player, flexible, focused, and have a leadership mindset. They should also have experience in auditing staff adherence to workflows, providing feedback, and managing personnel.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, public administration, or a related field.

  • Three years of full-time post-licensure experience in mental health services, with one year including supervisory experience.

  • A valid California driver’s license and a professional license from the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to manage large programs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Knowledge of mental health services and experience with behavioral health programs are preferred.
