Mental Health Professional Lic A typical day as a Mental Health Professional Licensed may look like: Performs initial Psychosocial Assessments, develops initial treatment plan based on client specific needs, and provides psycho-education to patients and families as assigned,Conducts Group Interactive Psychotherapy in addition to providing case management and maintaining regular collateral contact with agencies, school and families adhering to confidentiality policiesParticipates in the development of treatment plans, comprehensive assessments and discharge plansLicensed Mental Health Professional will participate in annual facility and department specific competency trainingAppropriately utilizes supervision to problem solve around clinical issues of staff dynamicsCan identify and work through sources of clients resistance to treatmentDemonstrates the ability to empower clients to function autonomously with the long-term goal or reducing their utilization of mental health servicesDemonstrates the ability to identify and facilitate groups that are clinically appropriate to the current client populationDemonstrates the ability to utilize appropriate interventions in both non-crisis and crisis situationsDevelop treatment strategy and plan that can be related in behaviorally specific short- and long-term goalsDevelops formulation of the case incorporating presenting problem, and current circumstancesDocuments clearly and precisely progress notes for all patient contactsIs able to explore alternate treatment modalities and make referrals when appropriateIs knowledgeable about client s medication regimen and side effectsMaintains regular collateral contact with agencies, school and family members, adhering to confidentiality policiesMonitors all medication appointmentsProvides case management services to clients on case loadsProvides feedback on group development during team and staff meetingsSubmits all session billing forms on the same day of the sessionIs able to identify when treatment goals have been reached and when benefit of treatment has been maximized To Be Considered For This Opportunity, You Must Have Masters degree in recognized mental discipline with appropriate licensure which may include LCSW, LSW, LPC or Licensed PsychologistMinimum two years prior work experience preferredCertification or successful completion of training will be done within three months of start dateSuccessful completion of all orientation programs is required At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
