About the Role

Deliver exceptional psychiatric treatment to patients and their loved ones, prioritizing patient-centered and high-quality care. Responsibilities include evaluations, psycho-education, group activities, treatment planning, discharge mapping, and therapeutic counseling in one-on-one, family, and group sessions using verified techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains effective communication with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and continuum of care providers.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and uses good communication skills to interact with peers, staff, patients, and families, resolving conflicts.
  • Maintains clear professional boundaries with peers, patients, and families.
  • Provides education and guidance about state commitment processes, abuse reporting requirements, the duty to warn, and guardianship processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and role in hospital codes.
  • Serves as an educational resource about behavioral services to patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, payer representatives, and other parties.
  • Reviews, coaches, and helps train new staff/interns within approved practice and program guidelines.
  • Participates in developing department goals and clinical programming.
  • Performs utilization review as assigned.
  • Assists with Process and Quality Improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Professional/Mental Health Counselor (LPC/LMHC).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
  • 1 year of experience required.
  • No travel required.
