About the Role

Work with the CN Guidance team to deliver and link services to identified communities, focusing on enhancing continuity of care for Ukraine new arrivals.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or Mental Health Counseling (MHC) required.
  • Prior successful field work, community work, or clinical experience under proper supervision.
  • Familiarity with resources and services in the Ukrainian community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide culturally attuned outreach to engage the Ukrainian community and build trust.
  • Support health-literacy education and facilitate wellness groups.
  • Outreach to community members and leaders, including presence at community hubs and events (e.g., Ukrainian, Russian, or other cultural/spiritual festivals).
  • Build a strong referral pathway for Ukraine new arrivals into behavioral healthcare.
  • Provide clinical counseling to individuals and families in person and virtually.
  • Link clients to necessary community resources and implement crisis services when needed.
  • Share information about CN Guidance’s services to empower clients and reduce stigma.
  • Maintain client stability through ongoing treatment relationships or assess and implement changes in client functioning.
  • Regularly assess client progress in weekly supervision and remain open to recommendations.
  • Assist clients in developing appropriate treatment expectations and maintain timely clinical case records.
  • Exchange information with other agencies to benefit clients or ensure compliance and coordination.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings representing client and agency needs.
  • Utilize supervision to improve practice skills and accountability.
  • Facilitate partnered decision-making by sharing data with clients.
  • Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in refresher training as needed.
  • Cultivate a culture of inclusion that respects individual strengths and drives innovation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Document learnings specific to the target population for future staff trainings and agency cultural competency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
