Mental Health Professional- Family Based Therapist

About the Role

The Family Based Mental Health Professional is a therapist who will join a two‑person Treatment Team. You will be trained in and implement the Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) model to strengthen relationships in families, improve executive functioning, identify and interrupt negative interaction patterns, and increase family stability. The Treatment Team serves a maximum of eight families in York/Adams Counties and provides intensive therapeutic services in settings outside the traditional office environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESFT‑based therapy to families, focusing on relationship strengthening and executive functioning.
• Identify and interrupt negative interaction patterns within families.
• Provide intensive therapeutic services in community or home settings rather than a traditional office.
• Collaborate closely with a co‑therapist as part of a two‑person Treatment Team.
• Maintain documentation and use computer applications to track client progress.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation, or a related human services field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children and/or adolescents.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Act 33 clearance, Act 34 clearance, and FBI clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn and efficiently use other computer applications.
• Passion for patient care and a desire to make positive changes in people’s lives.
