Mental Health Professional- Family Based Therapist

About the role

The Family Based Mental Health Professional is a therapist that will be part of a two-person Treatment Team. You will be trained in and implement the Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) model to help strengthen relationships in families, improve executive functioning, identify and interrupt negative interaction patterns, and improve stability in the family. The Treatment Team will serve a maximum of eight (8) families in Lancaster County and will provide intensive therapeutic services in settings other than the traditional office environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement ESFT model with families.
• Strengthen family relationships and improve executive functioning.
• Identify and interrupt negative interaction patterns.
• Promote family stability.
• Work as part of a two-person Treatment Team serving up to eight families in Lancaster County.
• Provide intensive therapeutic services in non‑office settings.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and auto insurance.
• Act 33 Clearance, Act 34 Clearance, and FBI Clearance.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation, or a human services field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children/adolescents.

Skills

• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to learn and efficiently utilize other computer applications.
• Strong passion for patient care and desire to make positive changes in clients' lives.
