Mental Health Crisis Worker - Part Time

About the role

Seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for mental health emergencies in Adams & Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis calls and conduct risk assessments
• Deliver brief crisis counseling and coordinate follow-up services
• Meet clients in various settings and respond to emergencies such as suicidality
• Gather information and connect clients to community resources
• Maintain relationships with law enforcement, courts, and community partners
• Document interactions per regulations and identify service gaps

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
• Experience working with mental health clients preferred
• Knowledge of community resources and relevant laws (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
• Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay professional under pressure
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within one hour in the designated counties
