Mental Health Counselor - Senior

We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor with a Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, and at least 5 years of clinical experience. The role involves supporting all aspects of clinical programming at a Crisis Recovery Center, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual, family, group, and milieu therapy. The counselor collaborates with healthcare professionals, offers client, family, peer, and community education, and mentors staff. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical standards, contributing to program development, and demonstrating advanced clinical skills. Qualifications include holding an Alaska license such as Social Worker, Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist upon hire. The position requires professional expertise, consultation, and support for program goals, modeling the organization’s philosophy and values. Key Duties encompass direct client care, program development, staff mentorship, and community engagement within a patient-focused, respectful environment.
