About the role

The Senior Mental Health Counselor provides counseling, education, and case management as part of a multidisciplinary Palliative Care team. They hold advanced clinical skills, serve as a resource for clinicians, and support leadership, mentorship, and program development in a supportive organization committed to diverse, inclusive, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient counseling and education
  • Deliver case management services
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Palliative Care team
  • Serve as a clinical resource for other clinicians
  • Support leadership, mentorship, and program development
  • Enhance program quality while adhering to core values

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related health field
  • Alaska licensure in the applicable discipline
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
