MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

Duties & Responsibilities

• Sign off on LMSW paperwork as needed.
• Provide a mental health diagnosis for children/youth.
• Treat, correct, or ameliorate delays or problems in developmental functioning and healthy relationships for children/youth.

Education & Experience

• NYS Licenses: Licensed Psychoanalysts or Licensed psychologists.
• Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.
• Licensed Mental Health Counselors.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with children in foster care and/or Children’s Mental Health Program, children with behavioral health needs.
• Positions in Lower Hudson Valley require a valid, non-restricted Driver License.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift at least 10 pounds.
• Able to use a computer, type, telephone, and other office equipment.
