Mental Health Counselor - Inpatient Adult Psych - Evening Shift

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting, ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.
• Conduct patient observations, safety checks, and monitor progress, reporting findings to the team.
• Assist with activities of daily living and supervise patient activities to promote recovery.
• De-escalate acute situations and assist in crisis intervention.
• Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Complete documentation in the EMR system and facilitate patient groups.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support treatment plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in psychology or human services preferred.
• Experience as a PCT, PCA, CNA, or Medical Assistant required; bachelor's may substitute experience.

Skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships.
• Experience in psychiatric or substance inpatient care, restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred.

Pay

Compensation based on experience ($20.11 - $24.00 per hour).

Schedule

Part-time position, evening hours, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
